The Jurassic Coast of South-West England enjoys four very clearly defined seasons, with late spring and summer being when the best weather arrives. The autumn climate in Swanage is quite brief and can be a mixture of sunshine, wind and rain, with mornings soon beginning to feel considerably colder. Winter can be a romantic time to visit the town, with some fine days, although with strong coastal gusts, temperatures can feel much colder, due to a noticeable wind-chill factor.
